LMFAO I made a post yesterday on my side blog talking about some pretty vile fandom behaviour (that is not exclusive to the thing I was talking about) and was generally discussing discourse I've seen on tiktok and tumblr (used two examples - neutrally - since I've seen multiple people exhibit that behaviour). Didn't get into the details since both sides do it and it's just really messy and discussing topics I think most people aren't qualified (lived experience or otherwise) to discuss and mostly didn't want to get into that. I made the mistake of mentioning what I studied in school, not for moral points, but to say "I don't get these absolutionist and moral groundstanding approaches. I think multiple interpretations of a thing are fine actually, but maybe that's just my background as to why I think that's ok. Stop treating directors and actors like Word of God".

Then some chronically online tumblrite who I have NEVER seen before makes this INSANE reblog and post calling me out for mentioning what I studied, trauma dumping, justifying their behaviour, listing the weird shit they've been fighting people on, talking about shit I never mentioned in my post that has nothing to do with what I said, and then demands I @ them directly next time. Then gets a mutual who's been enacting the same behaviour for a quick high five reblog to justify their tirade.

Like 🧍 jfc maybe that post did hit the right audience if this person was so triggered over one (1) thing (not a series) where people don't agree with them AND thought I was personally singling them and stalking them or whatever so they decided to project their issues on to me especially because I mentioned what I studied 🤷‍♀️ You're not that important LMFAO.

If this is not the peak tumblr experience then idk what is.
